I have a rather odd poem up at qarrtsiluni today. It came out of some meditation and reflection on their theme this month: lies and hiding.

I like this piece very much. It asks more than it answers and leads one onward beyond its end. Very nice!

As editor I'm not supposed to say things like this, but your piece was my favorite of all we received. God, that was gorgeous. So much in a small compass.
Watch for Maria Benet's "Rosebud," which will be the valedictory post of the "Lies and Hiding" set. I'll swear by that one too.

The reception of this poem is so surprising to me! I did not expect you to accept it; I sent it off because it came out of thinking on the theme -- but it seemed obscure to me. And too spare.
Clearly, I am not the best judge of my own work.
