Hello? Hello? Anybody there . . . ?
I'm coming back online, and thought I'd better post before April 1, so that you know I mean it.
I actually got online yesterday, intending to post, but started reading instead. Yikes. People I've read for ages (before my unplanned break) suffering death threats, fear, and accusations. People I respect, through their writing -- which is how I know them. On this topic, I recommend Shelley's post and comment thread. I've nothing to add, except sadness.
For the first time in months, I picked up a magazine at the grocery: Real Simple, which happened to showcase this quote from Dorothy Parker:
"It's not the tragedies that kill us, it's the messes."
