For the first time in a long while, I slept through the night, and my first thought on waking was not pain. Well, it seems like a long while; really it's just two or three weeks. But whatever pain one is experiencing in the moment is the worst pain, so for me, it's knee pain.

I have managed to post every day, but I've not been novel-writing. It's tough to novel-write with one's knee elevated on ice, and too tender to hold a laptop. An excuse, I know -- but the only one I have.

Cats are a great comfort.
