For Stacie DeWolfRemembering April 17, 2007
Witnesses said that you flew.
Flew.
Fifteen feet in the air.
I meditate on this
and see your spirit going on from your body
into the spring sky,
with all your hopes of sun and warmth.
Your spirit went on.
Your body fell,
and you did not.
You, capable of flying, entered the next.
