So asks this post at Will Carroll Weblog, www.all-baseball.com.
Yep. Baseball.
Some digging reveals that the poster is Ken Arneson (?), who also links to this post about programming and poetry -- and this is where he found me, in the comments.
How did I find that post (at godofthemachine) to begin with? I do not remember.
But since the baseball post (midnight last night) I have received 20 hits from that site (they do not show on my referrer list, apparently because the link is to my SPAM post instead of to the main page.) Who would have thought that baseball has as many fans as poetry?
And why does he think SB Poet is already taken?
Very, very odd. But a great story.
Yes, what can he possibly mean by SB Poet is already taken> By whom, where, what?
The blog seems to be 99% about baseball. Maybe his comment about National Poetry Month was meant ironically, since April is the start of the baseball season. Maybe SB Poet has some obscure baseball meaning?
Most interesting.

I think he meant it as a joke. SB means "stolen base". So, how could one take a base, that's already been taken. Or something like that. Anyways, that's my guess.

Stolen Base Poet, eh?
Thanks for the clarification, Greg.
