It's amazing to realize how many of my daily rituals involved this little bird -- morning, his cheeping greeting, uncover the cage, feed him & let him out; mid-day, hop on my finger to go back in his cage; evening, good-nights and cover the cage again.
So many opportunities to notice his absence.
