Once more (last time), for the NYT folks who are still trickling in, Welcome! I hope you will take some time to explore a bit. Below, you will find many cat-blogging posts; here you will find links to other cat sites, and here you will find poems, politics, play, and much else.
Remember this?
These Democratic kitties are in denial:
But cats are survivors, as proved by this little guy; they just keep tumbling along. To further explore the issue of Cats as Democrats, I offer the following essay, courtesy of EssayGenerator (via lonita's links log):
An essay on Cats are DemocratsAre you sitting comfortably? The constantly changing fashionable take on Cats are Democrats demonstrates the depth of the subject. Cited by many as the single most important influence on post modern micro eco compartmentalism, there are just not enough blues songs written about Cats are Democrats. It is an unfortunate consequence of our civilizations history that Cats are Democrats is rarely given rational consideration by the over 50, who just don't like that sort of thing. In the light of this I will break down the issues in order to give each of them the thought that they fully deserve.
Social Factors Society is a human product. When Lance Bandaner said 'twelve times I've traversed the ocean of youthful ambition but society still collects my foot prints' [1] he could have been making a reference to Cats are Democrats, but probably not. Spanning divides such as class, race and uglyness, Cats are Democrats is quite good. Nothing represents every day life better than Cats are Democrats, and I mean nothing. It grows stronger every day.
Economic Factors The dictionary defines economics as 'the social science concerned with the production, distribution, exchange, and consumption of goods and services'. We will begin by looking at the Watkis-Teeth-Pulling model. For those of you unfamiliar with this model it is derived from the Three-Amigos model but with greater emphasis on the outlying gross national product. . .The results displayed in the [deleted] graph are too clear to be ignored. Seemingly the market value of gold has always depended upon Cats are Democrats to a certain extent, but now more that ever. Perhaps to coin a phrase Cats are Democrats economics will be the buzz word of the century.
Political Factors The media have made politics quite a spectacle. Comparing the electoral politics of most Western and Eastern European countries is like comparing Cats are Democratsilisation, as it's become known, and one's own sense of morality. Let us consider the words of that silver tongued orator, one of the great political analysts Augstin T. Time 'A man must have his cake and eat it in order to justify his actions.' [2] One cannot help but agree when faced with Cats are Democrats, that this highlights an important issue. History tells us that Cats are Democrats will always be a vote winner, whether we like it, or not. Is Cats are Democrats politically correct, in every sense? Each man, woman and to a lesser extent, child, must make up their own mind.
Conclusion How much responsibility lies with Cats are Democrats? We can say that Cats are Democrats is, to use the language of the streets 'Super Cool.' It questions, applauds greatness and is a joy to behold. I will leave you with the words of Hollywood's Wyclef Kournikova: 'Oooh yeah Cats are Democrats shoo badaby dooo.' This week's Carnival of the Cats is here, and Friday Ark is up. Off you go, folks and felines, into the next four years . . .
Hey, SB! Your kitties look comfy-snuggly and adorable, too.
Thanks for your comment about mine and their movies. I use a Sony digital, which will also take little movies. I simply plug the memory stick from the camera into my Sony laptop, and move the files onto my hard drive (Lord, I looooooove plug and play!). TypePad then will let me upload with the "file" button(not the "image").
Hope to see some catmovies from you soon!

My FinePix does movies, too, but I never think to use it that way. We shall see. Most likely a dog movie, if I do one -- the cats just lie around, but the dogs wrestle.
