This made me smile. If I cut Penguin off the list of publishers I buy from I doubt there would be many books left...They seem almost god-like in their dominance. Odd then that they need such naff publicity. Or perhaps I'm missing something...
Happy New Year.

Whoa. Sort of a "Bimbos for Books" approach... like the Mudflap Girls have taken up literacy as a hobby.
Or perhaps it is that penguin thinks that men use that other little head for reading...

That was a good one.
I don't mean to be devil's advocate here, but being married to a man who never reads anything but his fisherman's magazine and the sunday paper, I would gladly give my half of the house for a man that reads. I fantasize all the time about conversations critiquing books, instead of the weather.
Happy New Year! Sorry I took so long. Just figured out how to blogroll. I've got you now, my pretty! And all your little pretty words, too!

Silly!
My husband loves to read, too - so I can buy even more books, and then say that they're for him! I do sometimes have a hard time getting them away from him, though. I don't know what would happen if he found some time for the computer...
