Several folks have wondered just how small the MOO minicards really are; here is an illustration:
This little kitty card holder was designed to hold business cards; the MOO cards measure 28mm x 70mm (1 1/8" x 2 3/4") and are roughly half the size of a standard business card (3 1/2" x 2".)
From the MOO FAQ's:
- MiniCards are made from heavy stock paper with a smooth satin finish.
- MiniCards can be recycled. What’s more, the paper stock they are made from comes from sustainable forests.
- The ’sample-size’ 10 packs come in specially-designed dispensers, and the 100 packs come in sturdy, reusable and recyclable plastic boxes.
They do not, however, come with kitty card holders.
Nor do they come with this very useful USB Intruder Alert Kitty:
I'm sure we would all feel more secure with this alert little kitty on guard, should we bring ourselves to step away from our laptop or calling cards for a moment or two. The world is filled with calling card pilferers, as any MOO MiniCard owner knows. At $24, far cheaper than human security, this little creature includes the following features:
- Animated cat figure
- Uses V.M.S. (Vision, Motion, Sound) Technology
- Infrared Sensor that detects movements to alert you of any intruders
- Kitty meows, hisses and sings melodies
- USB powered
- No batteries required
Click the image to go see -- and hear -- it in action. Via the always enlightening popgadget.
We can imagine what Spike would think of this, especially as he is reliably the most frequent intruder.

Oh, were you looking for Unitarian kitties? They're here.
P.S. A note on my CATS page, which has been a page of links and many pet webrings. Apparently, Webring.com is going through some kind of major reorganization, involving fees for both members and ring managers. Thus, many rings are closing down, and I have been removed from others as I'm over the 'free' quota.
This is not an area where I want to expend my somewhat limited web funds, so I plan to just wait until it settles out, and then go in and redo the page. My apology for the interim chaos -- but there are still lots of fun links there!
LOL I saw that alarm yesterday and thought about your cats. I bet it wouldn't last too long.
