Today's Great Falls Tribune showed a photo taken at one of those marathon cat spay/neuter clinics where the cats are anesthetized and lie on tables like place settings while their owners and volunteers (they also do street cats) sit there tending them carefully. So here was a man with his cat named "Pixie" who was toes-and-tummy-up, out cold and waiting for surgery. The surgery is over in a jiffy and then Pixie comes back to her tablemat for some wakeup time while that nice man tells her what a good cat she is. Then it's home for a quiet evening where it's warm.
