Adora-Belle, isn't she?
Yes, she is. Sweet, funny, affectionate, playful.
One problem -- she doesn't bathe herself. I clean the sleep from her eyes in the morning; she doesn't wash her face. I've seen her wash her paws, but that's it.
Now she has poop on her tail. Then she swings her tail around, and has poop on her side. It's stinky & disgusting. And she doesn't seem to notice.
I've never had a cat I had to bathe. I'm guessing, since she and her siblings were shelter kittens, that they may have had inadequate mothering.
Suggestions?
Poor mommy care. I have one who doesn't know how to cover feces in the litter box. She paws at the air, so she knows she supposed to do something.

I once had friends who taught their neglected kittens by wiping them after every trip to the litter box. The kittens eventually decided to do it themselves ... something about warmer equipment.

She is much better. A few sponge baths from me seems to have sparked the instinct. Now all she leaves for me is the sleep in her eyes.
