May was Deviant Scrap's first birthday. As part of the (very fun) celebration, Deviant Scrap and The Artisan Notebook ran a "Scrapped" contest. We were required to use every element in the Deviant Scrap birthday kit, a freebie (that's what makes up the room and background in my page) and could add whatever we liked.
I have two favorite digital shops: Deviant Scrap and ScrapBookGraphics, specifically Tangie Baxter and Art Journal Caravan, so I used each of their mascots to make up my page, and dressed them up.
A lot:
"Bessie from DeviantScrap and Camella from Art Journal Caravan @ Scrapbookgraphics, are here to celebrate Deviant Scrap's first birthday!
"As you can see, Bessie has a tendency to over-dress. Camella's style is more Ethnic. Despite their stylistic differences, these two get along marvelously well."
I had been doing this for only a few weeks when this challenge came along, and it took a great deal of time and practice to manage it. Fun time.
It almost feels unfair to be rewarded for having such a good time. Now I'm off to spend my $25 prize at Deviant Scrap.
Oh, and one more silly page, for Sunday Postcard Art:
As always, both of these are linked to flickr, for full credits and larger sizes.
