A PLACE TO CALL HOME
[Journaling: I have had a long, stressful year; a year of worrying that I might have to sell my home. A year of stress, anxiety, paperwork, and – most importantly – teamwork.
If not for a team of friends and professionals, who encouraged, pushed, guided, filled out masses of paperwork, cleaned and organized and helped me think through my brainfog, I very well might have lost the home that has made being housebound at least tolerable, and generally comfortable and pleasant.
Thanks to the work of Missoula Aging Services, the Montana Board of Housing, and my generous and patient friends, Teresa O’Neal, Philip McMurray, and Niki Robinson, I will have income from a reverse mortgage to allow me to stay where I want to be. Also thanks to them and to Chrystal Brumwell and Lynette Kay, my quality of life these past months has dramatically improved.
My gratitude and relief cannot be overstated.]
